This is our first release of this well known village on Farmerleaf. The economic slowdown in China means even the most prestigious areas have to lower their prices nowadays. We focus on providing you with good price for value. We released a lot of tea from the Laotian side of the border; we can now feature proper Yiwu tea at a decent price.

Gua Feng Zhai is located at the border with Laos, far from any other chinese village. It is stuck in a deep valley and is known as a result as the 'village where the wind blows'. It is inhabited by the Yao, who can walk for hours to pick tea leaves in remote parts of the national forests. Despite being very famous among the tea enthusiasts, this is one of the wildest areas in Xishuangbanna, only connected through a tiny road to civilisation.

The tea producers harvest tea in a wide area around their village. Instead of just selling tea according to the tree size, they sell according to the geographical location.

Zhu Li Qing is an area located 10km South of the village.

This tea is very soft, it has a juicy soup that coats the mouth. No bitterness, very low astringency, forested fragrance. You will be able to enjoy this tea over a long session as it is very endurant. It is a meditative tea with muted but active tones, that will lift your mind and body, typical Eastern Yiwu experience.
