Spring 2025 natural tea garden material from our gardens
Fermented in Jingmai in June 2025, right after the mao cha production
Our first small batch of 200kg, made with our own tea
We finally did it! We are now able to offer a ripe Pu-erh made with leaves we produced in our factory.
A small fermentation factory settled down in Jingmai. The farmers could bring their teas, it would be fermented by an experienced technician who has worked in Menghai for a decade. The first results turned out good and therefore we decided to bring some of our teas.
We were surprised by how good the tea turned out. Right out of the basket, it has a very pleasant fermentation smell. It usually smells like a trash can: rotten vegetable; but here, it smelled fruity. This fragrance has now almost disappeared. The fermentation was medium-light, the wet leaves look almost like mao cha, they weren't degraded much by the fermentation process.
The soup is thick and feels active, something quite rare in ripe Puerh. It is not very endurant, but the experience is pleasant. You can expect five strong brews; more if you boil it in a pot or do long steepings.
We have decided to sell it as loose leaf tea for now, we hope you'll enjoy it!
